Payment integrity & fraud
SyrianRoots LLC takes matters involving stolen or unauthorized payment cards, fraudulent chargebacks, false identities, payment manipulation, account abuse, deliberate misuse of transportation services, and attempts to obtain services through fraudulent payment information seriously.
Where such activity is suspected, the matter may be documented, relevant records may be preserved, and the facts may be reviewed internally. Where appropriate and permitted by law, suspected criminal activity may be reported or referred to financial institutions, payment processors, insurers, regulatory authorities, local, state, or federal law-enforcement agencies, or other appropriate authorities. The company may also pursue lawful civil remedies.
Honest disputes are different from fraud. If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact payments@syrianroots.com with the booking reference and the reason for the dispute, and we will review it. The full notice is published at Fraud & Payment Integrity Notice.
Insurance claims & vehicle incidents
When a vehicle incident, collision, or other insurable event involves an affiliated operating entity, our corporate and legal team may coordinate the following on its behalf:
- Vehicle accident documentation and incident reports
- Insurance communications with carriers and adjusters
- Preservation of evidence, including trip, vehicle, and driver records
- Driver and vehicle documentation
- Claim correspondence
- Third-party insurance matters
- Legal notices relating to transportation incidents
Attorneys, insurers, claims adjusters, operators, and other businesses may direct incident and claim correspondence to payments@syrianroots.com (claims) or legal@syrianroots.com (legal), quoting any matter identifier in our correspondence. Please include the date, location, vehicles involved, and any claim or policy numbers available to you.
Transportation regulatory compliance
Commercial passenger transportation in California is a regulated activity. Applicable passenger transportation operations must comply with California laws and regulations, including requirements administered by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and other applicable state and local authorities. SyrianRoots LLC supports the compliance obligations of its affiliated operating entities in these areas.
We take unauthorized or non-compliant commercial passenger transportation seriously. If our organization identifies activity that appears to violate applicable transportation requirements, including activity directed at our clients, drivers, or brands, the matter may be documented and referred to the appropriate regulatory authority.
We comply with regulators; we do not act as one
SyrianRoots LLC does not hold regulatory or enforcement authority. Any determination of whether a violation has occurred rests with the authority that has jurisdiction. Our role is limited to compliance, documentation, and, where appropriate, reporting.
Lawful requests for records
Requests for records from counsel, insurers, financial institutions, or authorities should be sent to legal@syrianroots.com and should identify the requesting party, the legal basis for the request, and the specific records sought. We respond to lawful requests in accordance with applicable law and our contractual obligations, and we may require appropriate verification before releasing records. We do not accept service of legal process by email unless agreed in writing.
