Fraud & Payment Integrity Notice
How SyrianRoots LLC and its affiliated operating entities handle suspected payment fraud, unauthorized transactions, and misuse of transportation services.
1. Purpose
This notice explains how SyrianRoots LLC ("the company", "we") approaches matters involving suspected payment fraud, unauthorized transactions, and deliberate misuse of transportation services provided by its affiliated operating entities. It is published so that customers, counterparties, financial institutions, and insurers understand our position.
2. Conduct we treat as a serious matter
- Use of stolen, unauthorized, or compromised credit or debit cards or other payment methods
- Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks, including disputes filed for services that were knowingly received
- Use of false identities or identity-related payment abuse
- Payment manipulation, including altering, duplicating, or circumventing payment authorization
- Account abuse, including creating accounts to evade prior restrictions
- Deliberate misuse of transportation services, including booking with no intention to pay
- Attempts to obtain services through fraudulent payment information
3. What we may do
Where such conduct is suspected, the company may, subject to applicable law:
- Document the matter and preserve relevant records, including booking, trip, communication, payment, and vehicle records
- Review the facts internally and request information from the parties involved
- Decline, suspend, or restrict service to the individual or account
- Provide documentation to the relevant financial institution or payment processor in connection with a dispute
- Report or refer suspected criminal activity to financial institutions, payment processors, insurers, regulatory authorities, local, state, or federal law-enforcement agencies, or other appropriate authorities, where appropriate and permitted by law
- Pursue lawful civil remedies, including recovery of amounts owed, where warranted
SyrianRoots LLC is a private company. It is not a law-enforcement agency and does not hold investigative or enforcement powers of any government body. Any reference to reporting or referral means that we may provide information to the appropriate authority, which then decides independently whether to act.
4. Honest disputes
A good-faith disagreement about a charge is not fraud, and we treat it differently. If you believe a charge is incorrect, duplicated, or does not match the service you received, contact payments@syrianroots.com with the booking reference, the date of service, and the reason for the dispute. We will review the matter and respond. Contacting us directly is usually faster than a chargeback and allows us to resolve genuine errors promptly.
5. Records and evidence
Our affiliated operating entities maintain booking, dispatch, trip, communication, and payment records in the ordinary course of business. Where a matter is disputed or under review, those records may be preserved and, where appropriate, provided to the relevant financial institution, insurer, or authority in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
6. Reporting fraud to us
If you believe your payment method has been used without authorization for a service provided by one of our affiliated operating entities, or you have information about fraudulent activity involving our brands, contact legal@syrianroots.com. Include as much detail as you can, including dates, amounts, and any reference numbers.
